The Lake Kickapoo volunteer firefighters volunteer their time for much more than “standing at-the-ready.” They actively develop and maintain their skills with drills each month, with several devoting many additional hours every year in advanced training. And, of course, they respond to dozens of calls throughout the year, including fires, accidents and medical emergencies.
